Fine-tune your fermentation with the BioLector XT, a novel high-throughput benchtop microbioreactor designed to accelerate your microbial strain screening, media selection and bioprocess optimization workflows. The LS 13 320 XR Particle Size Analyzer is the current offering of Beckman Coulter high resolution laser diffraction systems. Enhancements to our two detector systems ( Custom X-Pattern Array and PIDS) have provided an expanded measurement range of 10nm -3500um. Resolution and Sensitivity performance is again differentiated by the high number of detector channels (126 in Main Beam and 36 with PIDS). Wet and dry powder sample formats are possible using our inter-changeable modules, the Tornado Dry Powder system (with vacuum pressure and obscuration control options for optimized powder dispersion) and the Universal Liquid Module ( handling both aqueous and non-aqueous carrier solutions, with automated dispersion control options- pump speed, sonication probe). Full and complete invocation of Fraunhofer and Mie scattering theories is performed within the LSXR operating software including our Industry-unique Auto-Modality function meaning the algorithm will provide the sizing distribution without having to pre-select a curve fitting model as with all other system suppliers. The Multisizer 4E Coulter Counter is the latest implementation of the Coulter Principle (Electrical Sensing Zone) developed by Wallace Coulter over 75 years ago. The measurement technique involves the physical volume displacement of particles entering the electrical sensing zone which creates a voltage pulse for each particle whose height is directly related to the volume displaced. Pulses can be counted for uL controlled analytical volumes and can be reported as concentration/sizing distribution. The particle sizing is independent of refractive index properties as well as particle shape. A range of Aperture tubes have an orifice/opening from 10um to 2000um , having a linear volume measurement response of 2-80% of opening, permitting sizing of particles from 200nm to 1600um. Use of the Multi-Tube Overlap software feature allows for particle sizing over the entire dynamic range. A wide variety of aqueous and organic electrolyte solutions have been developed for optimized particle dispersion and stability requirements.
